Care Club is a financial wellness platform based in Utah. We take privacy seriously — not because we have to, but because the people who use this platform are sharing real information about their financial lives. This policy explains what we collect, how we use it, and what rights you have. We've written it in plain English on purpose.
When you create a Care Club account or use the platform, you may provide: your name, email address, and phone number; your responses to the Care Club financial assessment; benefit claims and interactions; and any messages or communications you send through the platform.
When you use Care Club, we automatically collect certain technical information: login timestamps and session activity; pages and features accessed; device type and browser information; and IP address. This information is used to operate the platform securely and improve the experience. We do not currently use third-party advertising or behavioral tracking tools on the platform.
Your assigned Care Club advisor may add notes or context to your account as part of the advisory relationship. You can view your profile information at any time by logging into your account.
Care Club does not store your payment card information. All payments are processed securely by Stripe, Inc. Stripe's privacy policy governs how your payment data is handled. We receive only a transaction confirmation and basic billing details (plan type, renewal date) from Stripe.
We use the information we collect to:
We do not use your information to serve you third-party advertisements. We do not sell your personal information. Ever.
Your assigned advisor has access to your profile, your assessment results, and your platform activity. This is core to the service — your advisor needs this information to serve you. Your advisor is a licensed insurance professional operating independently through the Care Club platform.
We work with a limited number of trusted service providers who process data on our behalf to operate the platform. These providers are contractually required to protect your information and may only use it to provide services to Care Club:
Care Club works with third-party fulfillment partners — including estate planning, retirement, and financial services providers — to deliver certain member benefits. We share your information with these partners only when you actively initiate a referral or request through the platform. We do not share your information with fulfillment partners automatically or without your action.
Care Club earns referral fees or affiliate commissions when members use certain partner services. This compensation does not affect the information shared with you or the advice provided by your advisor. In accordance with FTC guidelines, we disclose that these commercial relationships exist.
We may disclose your information if required to do so by law, court order, or government authority, or if we believe disclosure is necessary to protect the rights, property, or safety of Care Club, our users, or the public.
If Care Club is acquired, merged, or its assets transferred, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction. We will notify active members via email if this occurs and describe any choices you have.
If you are a California resident, the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) gives you specific rights regarding your personal information.
You have the right to know what personal information we collect, use, share, or sell. You have the right to request deletion of your personal information, subject to certain exceptions. You have the right to opt out of the sale of your personal information — though we do not sell personal information and have not done so in the preceding 12 months. You have the right not to be discriminated against for exercising any of these rights.

Care Club does not have actual knowledge of selling or sharing the personal information of consumers under 16 years of age.
Care Club sends several types of emails: a welcome email when you join, an onboarding sequence over your first year as a member, activity notifications related to your account, and occasional platform updates.
You can unsubscribe from non-essential emails at any time using the unsubscribe link in any Care Club email. Transactional emails related to your account security (such as password resets) cannot be unsubscribed from while your account is active.
Care Club does not send text messages for marketing purposes. If you receive a text related to your advisor relationship, it comes directly from your advisor, not from Care Club's systems.
We retain your personal information for as long as your Care Club account is active. If you cancel your account, we retain your information for 12 months in case you choose to reactivate. After that period, personal information is deleted or anonymized, except where retention is required by law or legitimate business need (such as billing records, which are retained for 7 years for tax and accounting purposes).
Assessment data and financial information you entered into the platform is deleted along with your account after the 12-month retention window. You may request earlier deletion at any time by contacting team@trycareclub.com.
Care Club stores your data on Railway's secure cloud infrastructure using PostgreSQL. All connections to the platform are encrypted via HTTPS. Access to user data is restricted to authorized Care Club personnel and your assigned advisor. We conduct regular reviews of our security practices.
No method of data transmission or storage is completely secure. While we take reasonable and industry-standard steps to protect your information, we cannot guarantee absolute security. If you believe your account has been compromised, contact us immediately at team@trycareclub.com.
The Care Club platform uses session cookies necessary for authentication and basic functionality — specifically, to keep you logged in during a session. We do not use advertising cookies or cross-site tracking cookies on the platform.
The Care Club marketing website (trycareclub.com) uses minimal functional cookies. If we add analytics or advertising tools in the future, we will update this policy and, where required by law, obtain your consent before doing so.
Care Club is intended for adults 18 years of age and older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has provided us with personal information, please contact us at team@trycareclub.com and we will delete it promptly.
The Care Club platform and marketing site may contain links to third-party websites or services — including fulfillment partners and member benefit providers. Care Club is not responsible for the privacy practices of third parties. We encourage you to review the privacy policies of any third-party services you use through or in connection with Care Club.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices, platform features, or applicable law. When we make material changes, we will notify active members via email at least 14 days before the changes take effect. The updated policy will always be available at trycareclub.com/privacy. Your continued use of Care Club after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
